This will be an ongoing experiment in an attempt to bare all in the down and dirty day to day work of one Chicago Construction Headhunter and has been very deeply active in the Chicago construction market shares his findings, keeping everything confidential of course. 

I have been in the Chicago construction marketplace for the past 12 years. While it is true that Chicago Construction Jobs available at this time are scarce, they are none the less out there.

What typically goes on during the down turn of the boom-bust cycle of construction as far as hiring goes is a general slimming down of the herd and an upgrading of personel at hand. This doesn’t make the current work environment any less stressful, that’s for sure. However, it does make for increased effeciency and eventual gaining of marketshare for the contractors that take advantage of this crisis. 

Here’s a cool video I found recently of the Legacy at  Millenium Park that sprouted up a couple years ago. I just love it when a plan or project comes together. It really shows when you capture it in time lapsed photgraphy…enjoy.
